T.U.B.A. (Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation) Workshop

- Or do you resort to denigration of the T.U.B.A. to entice the patients to accept the procedure you know how to do?

I have preformed approximately 8,000 T.U.B.A.’s on 4000 patients since October 1991.

I am willing and happy to share all the little “secrets” of the T.U.B.A. surgery with any qualified Plastic/Cosmetic surgeon WHO ALREADY PERFORMS BREAST AUGMENTATION BY OTHER TECHNIQUES. I have taught this procedure for 10 years.

We are now attempting to reach a much larger number of cosmetic Breast Surgeons to instruct in the T.U.B.A. techniques. We are initiating a once a month, Two Day, Hands on (in Surgery), Teaching Seminar. The seminar will be limited to four surgeons. We will have approximately 8 to 12 patients over 2 days. Each surgeon will scrub and assist on at least 2 cases and will be "around the table" to observe the other cases.

YOUR WILL LEARN:

· To remove defective implants and replace them with new ones as well as remove and replace implants when patients want to go larger or smaller, trans umbilical.

· To correct asymmetry, most often without incisions on the breasts.

· To perform Trans Umbilical Capsulotomies in many cases.

· To eliminate post operative wrinkles in subglandular implants and the lateral wrinkles in submuscular implants

· You will learn implants can be put submuscular more easily than subglandular.

· You will learn and receive all our information on how we evaluate patients preoperative and calculate breast size and volume so we know the exact size implants we will use in surgery.

· You will see why the T.U.B.A. surgery techniques have caused only 4 hemotomas in 4000 patients as opposed to the national average of 2 – 3 hemotomas per 100 patients.

· You will see why sensory loss in the T.U.B.A. breast is much lower than with standard surgical techniques

· You will see how we can do the T.U.B.A. routinely in 15 to 20 minutes operating time.

· You will see how easily the T.U.B.A. can be done under conscious sedation administered by our ACLS Certified RN’s. (**please note that at this time surgery is being done at NW Surgery Center and we are using general anesthesia while our office is in the transitional state of moving to a new location.)

· You will receive copies of all our informed consent that patients receive for the T.U.B.A. surgery.

· You will receive a professionally made video for T.U.B.A. informed consent (approximately 9 minutes long) The video is generic (i.e. No Doctor’s Name is on it, however you may dub your name and other info on the tape).

· Later this year, we will offer a DVD on how to treat complications, both intra operative and post operative, that we have encountered over the past 11 years.

Upon completing the 2-day seminar, you will receive a certificate of attendance and participation. You will have the possibility to purchase a set of machined T.U.B.A. instruments, 4 pieces, stainless steel, exactly like the instruments we will be using in surgery, during the seminar.
